Tom Cleary is a seasoned risk management consultant and insurance specialist for the hospitality sector, including hotels, resorts, clubs, timeshares, and restaurants.
A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration (‘89) and trained with Hyatt Resorts, Tom brings deep expertise in evaluating and enhancing commercial insurance programs. His clients range from large publicly traded operators to smaller properties benefiting from a group buying program he designed.
Before transitioning to insurance, Tom held management roles with Hyatt Hotels in Orlando, Aruba, and Tampa, and worked in various positions in restaurants across the country. His international experience includes a year with DeVere Hotels in Bournemouth, England.
Tom’s industry knowledge has made him a sought-after guest lecturer at Cornell University’s Hotel School, and for organizations such as the American Resort Developers Association (ARDA), Hotel Asset Managers Association (HAMA), and American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA).
